heres a rare gem. who remembers Two Kings in a Cipher! man that "kings are people are too" used to be my shit! this TAPE came out in 91 and it wasnt till around 93 that i found out bout it. i was still a youngins but never could find out what the beat was sampled from. once i got older found out easily that it was Earth Wind and Fire. fuck if i could find this on tape again, i would lose it! so heres some early 90's afro centric hip hop.

Boz Scaggs -Lowdown
so i was juss listenin to that vinroc mix. i saw that it had lowdown on it, one of the reasons i picked the mix up. anyways heres the youtube version for those dont know. man this track slick. this is probably the only boz track i like. trust me ive heard lots and it might be a good thing and a bad thing. i mean how the fuck you top this? everything else juss seems sub par and i base it on lowdown. ive owned record numerous times. when ya know when to play this @ a party it can get people movin, BUT there is a cut off time for this track and it CAN kill the vibe, so be warned. anyways im rambling. juss listen to it and enjoi.
p.s. shout out to PHATTY!

The Pyschonauts - Time Machine - a MoWax records retrospective mix
I got this when MoWax started doing mail-outs, and I assumed it was an unmixed comp. Instead I got a vinyl version of the CD release. Although this has been pasted together in a studio, you can hear the deck wizardry of the Psychonauts' routines better in this mix than any other, and wallow in the depth of beat-heavy 'trip-hop' that the MoWax record label had for a time...
